Firefox is slower than Chrome, i realize, but there’s some tab features i can’t do without that only FireFox has

One problem I had with the browser : don’t use ” % ” in the address bar, or it crashes.

Not just the tab, but the whole browser.

Looks like they were pretty fast at changing the eula. Paragraph 11 now reads:

11. Content license from you

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

Ok… now thats something… i didn’t go over the eula..

1. The open source version of chrome will be chromium with a different eula i guess….

2. i am still recovering from the clause 11.1…. i hope Google comes back on this one…

Did someone bother to read the eula? Yesterday i was considering to report bugs, today, uninstalled it.

Chrome is google software…now, let’s see what awaits us further…good news on paragraph 9.4:

9.4 Other than the limited license set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.

This looks cool, we are safe ! but wait…

Google now has rights to do whatever they like with EVERYTHING you do in this browser – posts on your blog, web e-mail, ANYTHING you do in Chrome, you give google permission to “reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute”.
This is far worse that any microsoft eula, and there’s no way i’m gonna install that browser again.

I miss most of my extensions… But lets wait..
Most of the commonly visited sites are loading quite fast without any problems…
quite a few have some glitches…. i have been using it for quite some time and didn’t have a single crash or freeze till now..
thats one thing i like…

V8 is something what we have to look out…
we might very well be looking out at the future of a Web OS

I’ve tried it. No bad at all… not that great either.

It’s fast and interface looks good. Tried a couple of sites with embeded Flash, and
with one of them -which load smoothly on Firefox- Chrome started to work really slow.

Anyway, it’s still in beta, so lets see what future versions bring on.

I’ll stick with Firefox+Addons for some time.

I also use Flock and Firefox… Tried chrome… like the minimalist design… it all depends on it evolves…

Google Chrome….what’s the big deal! Tried it, yawnnnnnnnnnnnnn. deleted it, I’m back to Firefox…(just between you and me I use Flock which really is firefox with a twist)

i’m willing to try it out just to see if it works more efficiently than FireFox… if it’s faster than Firefox, has tabs and isn’t IE, then it should be perfect
